If you are in Sydney, you can go to Brisbane, then don’t miss these pretty attractions. Although it’s a journey for backpackers and short-distance tourists, it is a journey to enjoy the beautiful seascape, so it’s worth planning a road trip.
The most impressive thing about my road trip experience is Byron Bay in the easternmost part. It is the most classic attraction in Australia. When you get to the lighthouse, it is like the sense of accomplishment of “conquest.”
By the way, the eastern and western ends of mainland of Australia are the easiest to reach and easy to come by car, so you can include this attraction in your plan.

Palm Beach
Palm Beach is a suburb in the Northern Beaches region of Sydney, in New South Wales, Australia. Palm Beach locates 41 kilometers north of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Northern Beaches Council.
It is an excellent place to relax, and I loved swimming in the ocean rock pool. But unfortunately, it’s a more residential place, and a parking charge applies in almost all areas surrounding this beach.

It’s the nearest beach and weekend drive place for people who live in New England or North West. I was here in winter and strongly felt the perfect weekend location to be with your family with lovely scenic views. The view from the top of the cliff is amazing. Great location!

Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley, north of Sydney in New South Wales, is Australia’s central wine region, with a viticultural history dating back to the early 1800s. Known for varietals such as Semillon and Shiraz, it’s home to numerous wineries, including world-renowned brands and family-run boutique operations. Most are located south of the Hunter River and offer cellar door wine tastings and vineyard tours.

Hunter Distillery
Lots of flavors Lots on offer mixed with a range of flavors. All organic. Taste test in small test tubes. I picked up the honey version. Flavors seem good as sips, but I think it’d be full-on any more than that.

Hunter Valley Gardens
It’s a beautiful, tranquil place with lovely gardens (paid entry), decorated with hundreds of thousands of fairy lights and big and small decorations throughout the parks on Christmas.
Also, an artificial snow fun park in winter. You can also visit the outside shops, buy chocolates, sweets, souvenirs, have a picnic on the grass, or sit at one of the tables provided.
For the wine lover, visit the different vineyards and their outlets that also sell chocolate, cheese, and other things—a must-go place when visiting the Hunter Valley.

It’s a massive outdoor sculpture marking a country music & gift shop with an attached coffee cafe.

Ebor Falls
Brilliant quick pit stop for a picnic on the long journey from Sydney to Adelaide. Clean pit latrines and ample parking spaces. Only 1km from the. Therefore, the main highway is not too much deviation from the route. Scenic and serene. I would recommend a stop here.

Coffs Harbour
The City of Coffs Harbour is a local government area in the mid-north coast region of New South Wales, Australia. The area under administration is 1,175 square kilometers, expanded in 2004 to take parts of the former Pristine Waters local government area.

Byron Bay (Most east of Mainland Australia)
Byron Bay is a coastal town in the southeastern Australian state of New South Wales. It’s a popular holiday destination known for its beaches, surfing, and scuba diving sites.
Cape Byron State Conservation Park is on a headland with a lighthouse. Humpback whales can spot from headland viewpoints, such as the Captain Cook Lookout, between June and November.

This place was across the border of New South Wales & Queensland. Great place to look at the ocean, see Whales, grab a coffee and have a meal at the Dbar Cafe.

It’s a huge park with walking tracks & campsites featuring rainforest, a natural bridge & waterfalls.

Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is a metropolitan region south of Brisbane on Australia’s east coast. It’s famed for its long sandy beaches, surfing spots, and elaborate inland canals and waterways system.
It’s also home to theme parks such as Dreamworld, SeaWorld, and Wet’n’Wild. Inland hiking trails crisscross Lamington National Park’s mountain ridges and valleys, home to rare birds and rainforest.

Putt-Putt Golf Mermaid Beach
Here we had a good round of golf and fun-fill; the best place for kids. Sometimes we wait for the front group to finish and others behind to hurry us along: well-maintained course and reasonable pricing for the whole family. Staff on the day provided an excellent pricing option to save money.

Surfers Paradise Beach
Surfers Paradise is a seaside resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast in eastern Australia. It’s known for its high-rise skyline and Surfers Paradise Beach, which hosts a famous market several evenings a week. Along Cavill Avenue are shops, cafes, and lively nightclubs. The towering Q1 building, with its SkyPoint observation deck, offers panoramic ocean and city views.

North Gorge Walk
A fantastic walk along the coastline with various views to accommodate all beachfront tastes. We saw whales breaching, a sea turtle feeding, a dolphin pod, and several groups of kangaroos — all in only an hour of casual strolling! The hike is easy to moderate for able-bodied folks.

Several steps and inclines make the walk (past a quick start) inaccessible to those with wheelchairs, walking aids, or difficulty walking distances.
The trail is a 1.2km (almost 1 mile) loop, with the southern entrance higher than the northern. We enjoyed entering the southern side. There are several points where the walkway (largely boardwalk) gives way to bluff tops where you can wander at will.
Be cautious here, as the area is rough and uneven. Unexpected weather and environmental elements have led to deaths. It is safe enough to keep a wise eye on yourself, your surroundings, and your proximity to the edge, but it’s worth it. These are optional areas.
Above all, I cannot recommend it highly enough. I will return!
Moreton Island Tour – Tangalooma Wrecks
There is an astonishing view of the #tangalooma wreck, a cluster of ships scuttled by the Queensland Government between 1963 and 1984. Coral is now starting to form in and around the wrecks providing a haven for various fish species and sea life.

Sandboarding is tremendous fun, and you probably go faster & further than you expect! You need to be able to walk up significant hills and be prepared to get very sandy. Several people on our trip seemed strangely surprised.

Conclusion
Finally, we arrived at the Gold Coast, an hour’s drive from Brisbane. What a famous place with the most beautiful beaches, and so many people. Gold Coast allows me to relax and sunbathe, as well as beer!
